Operation: Fit

Any fitblr blogs out there that don’t promote thinspo or fitspo?

Not that i’m against any of it. I just believe that for my sake, I need to find blogs that don’t.

Reason? 

Well, I don’t like comparing myself to others. At some point in my life, I don’t want to be influenced by other people’s achievements. I want to workout for myself, not so I can look like anybody else. I want to be the best that I can be (I know overly cheesy, but it is true). I don’t want to compare myself to other women. We are all incredibly unique and great!

And, if that isn’t an good enough reason, here is another: These models do it for a living! It is their job to fit in clothes or to look incredibly ripped! They look amazing but that is them and this is me. I am not going to be influenced greatly by these images. 

And guess what? They are all photoshopped. 

P.S. I am all for before and afters, celebrating our achievements, positive posts, tips, fitness routines, healthy foods, daily food and exercise log ins, and personal text post.

Yoga for the Splits
Print this out and practice these poses everyday to gain flexibility for the splits. Start by holding each pose for 30 seconds on each side. Work your way up to 1-3 minutes as your muscles start to open up. When you’re ready to try the splits use a block or pillow under your front leg for support until you feel ready to go without.
